Zumba Time!

Today was the 21st of September. In my class we could hear a song. It was coming from the courts. I saw room 20 there.
My teacher said "Were going at 10:00 to do zumba".
My class cheered. It was 10:00am and we walked to the courts and waited for them to start. We did 3 songs I think. I only remembered one song. It was Waka wake (eh eh). When we ended zumba the dancer said you can do it again if you go to the address. One session is $6.
I wonder if my dad will let me go there?

The arrival of my...

... COUSINS! My cousins just came last night (22/9/10) at 11:00 I think. My cousins and aunt now sleeps at my parents bedroom. My parents are sleeping at the lounge. I also sleep with my parents too. When me and my cousins play we mostly play wrestling. Sometimes we play on my play station 3. We play Tekken 5 (Iron Fist 5). I always lose.
They are going to be here for about 2 weeks. Hope they have a fun day!

TODAYS MY BIRTHDAY! (25/9/10)

Hello people. Today (25/9/10) is my super, duper BIRTHDAY! I woke up and saw my dad. He said "Happy birthday boy!". So he hugged me and left me up and down and up. I took a shower and got dressed. For my birthday we went to West Gate cinemas. My cousins, brother, sister and I watched Avatar The Last Airbender in 2D. It was pretty cool. Some of the scenes made a mistake because one of the names got pronounced wrong. When it was finished we went to the arcade in the cinemas. I played this awesome shooting game. The next game I played was air hockey. I won. The last game I played was basket ball. I lost. My dad had arrived to the cinemas. It was time to go. I played with my cousins all day. Last thing I remembered was sleeping.

My annoying ALLERGY!

Today I am going to talk about my "Annoying ALLERGY!" If you didn't know I had an allergy, now you do.  My allergy started when I was 1 years old.  I was with my sister Arianne. She was holding me.  Our neighbor had knocked at the door. She opened the door. She was still holding me. The neighbor was talking nonsense. When he had left my sister saw me. I was all red and my eyes were red too.  My family took me to the hospital. They said I was allergic to peanuts and all nuts. My sister had realised our neighbor ate peanuts. Now you all know I am allergic to peanuts. I don't always turn red and have red eyes but all I know that when I eat peanuts my throat will close up and I will stop breathing and yes I will die. But the only cure is an epipen. An epipen is a pen that has needle inside it. It is very simple using it. First you put the pen on the fat part on your thigh. Secondly you remove the black lead. Lastly you push the pen really hard. You do it for 10 seconds. It doesn't really hurt though. The needle opens the throat. So when you see a person with an epipen and doesn't know how to use it. You go and help out that person.

The Safety Cricket Trap

Today was the 17th of September.Ezrah, Alex (Alexander) and I made a cricket trap. We first designed our own trap. My one had a cage with cucumber because crickets love cucumber! On the cage had a door that could open shut. There was a rope on it. If you pulled it, the cage would open. So when the cricket sees the cucumber and goes in the cage,I'll let go of the rope and say "hooray!".

When we had finished we had combined our information. So we put it to the test. These were the things we needed: String, box, scissors, brown tape and some grass. We got the box and cut the top. We put tape on the top. On the middle of the top you will get stuck. But on the ends of the top you will not. We put the grass at the end of the top. The top got placed in the box. On the box we cut a hole on the side. We drew a monster with the hole. The hole was the mouth and we drew the face. I drew a pointing arrow saying" Come here little boy!". Okay so when the cricket sees the hole it will see a little a piece of grass. It will go inside it. It sees a huge bunch of grass. It goes to it. The cricket steps on the tape. It is not sticky yet. The cricket will carry on and walk. It reaches the middle. It gets stuck. We close the top and tape the top. We cover the hole with the extra card board. We finished!

Winter Field Exchange Day!

It was the 15th of a September. It was the day when the year 5s and 6s played Winter field day. But the normal date was 23rd of August. So in stead of "Winter Field Day" its... "WINTER FIELD EXCHANGE DAY!" All the boys and girls were pumped and excited! I was in hockey.

In hockey there was 4 teams: Blue, Green, Red and Yellow. I was in the Blue team! The destination was at Te Pai (Courts). Netball and Kiwi Sport came with us too. We reached to the court and sat. We waited there for about 22 minutes I think. The Red and Green team went on  the other side. Yellow team was with us. The Yellow team was up. Patrick and Peaches sat out. Yellow team versus Pomaria. It was half time. Peaches and Patrick were ub the game. Two students sat down. Yellow won! 5-0. It was my groups turn. My team versus Sunnyvale. I don't remember who sat down but 2 students sat down. It was half time. 2 people sat down. We won! 5-0. Yellows turn. Yellow versus Sunnyvale. We won! 5-2 I think. It was my teams turn.  My group versus Pomaria. We won! 5-0 It was break time. We got 10 minutes to eat. 10 minutes later... It was yellows turn. Yellow versus Sunnyvale. We won! 5-0. It was me versus Pomaria. We won! 5-1. The final game was Yellow vs Blue. Blue lost. Yellow got victory. 2-1. That was the end of the games. When we got there my stomach really hurt. So I got sent to the sickbay and went home. That was a fun day!

University on Wheels

All ready for University?! Atarah, Ezrah, Maristelle and I went to university on wheels. It was really exciting! We learned about forensic science. We did the basics, puzzles, solving 2 crimes, mystery pictures, finger prints and memory. So we mostly learned about the basics. What to do and ect. It was really fun and interesting. I finally learned how to use a microscope. At the end of the day we got a piece of paper that had the same picture on it. We had find 5 differences on it. When we finished we went back to our classes and go home. That was the coolest day ever!

Mathathon Day :DD

It was the 16th of September. So your wondering what I'm doing. Well the answer is simple. I am doing the mathathon test. We had to get the sheet and find out the answers. We got this sheet a week ago I think (9/9/10). We had to practice the answers all of again and again. On my sheet it had 85 equations. 1 week later (16/9/10) it was the test. Everyone in my class got a new sheet that they got. We only had to answer 25 equations. It was starting. We couldn't rush. We just took our time. There was no time. The next day we had marked it. I got 20/25. It was good enough. At least I didn't go under 10.

The Pirate Day.

Ahoy me hearties today was Pirate Day. Yo-ho-ho that was a fun day! Me teacher Miss Davies gave a hat to my friend Aashay. Me matey gave me the hat. When I went to school hearty it was discovery time. There was 4 activities: Making your own pirate ship, your Pirate name, make up a treasure map to lead to the booty and make a pirate hat and eye-patch. When you finish all of the activities you will have the pirate licence. I started with the pirate hat and eye-patch. I moved on to the map. I finished the map. I moved on to my pirate name. I went on the internet. I typed in www.gangstaname.com/names/pirate. I typed in my name. My pirate name was Snifflin' Bruno Kidd. I got sticky paper, wrote my name pirate name and stuck it on my shirt. I got to my last activity. On my ship I had 2 cannons on each side. They were made out of  ice block sticks. I added a flag that a skull on it and a steering wheel. I had finished! I got to Miss Hughes and said " I finished my activities". She took a photo of me and printed it. I glued it on my licence and wrote me pirate name and my real name. I had completed my work! YAY!

The Cool Instant Alpha

It was the 30th of August when we first started doing Instant Alpha.
When we heard about I said to myself " What's instant alpha? " Miss Davies had shown us what instant alpha was all about. She got Ezrah and told him to go outside. She took a picture of Ezrah. His Back round was yellow. Miss Davies then uploaded it to her laptop and put the picture on pages.
After that she got a picture from google and typed in karate kid. She put it on the same pages with Ezrah on it. Miss Davies clicked on the top that had said Instant Alpha. She removed the back round of Ezrah's photo.
It only had Ezrah but without the background. They did the same thing as that but this time they removed the karate kid out. Miss Davies moved the picture of Ezrah and put it where the karate kid was.
Everyone was amazed! So Miss Davies told us to take pictures of ourselves and put it on a picture.
My picture had my face on my favourtie t.v. character Sokka!

Nicholas Trick

So your wondering whats "Nicholas Trick?" Nicholas trick was about maths. Nicholas trick was one of my groups stragies.

E.g. 8 x 76 = 608?
8 x 70 = 560. If you don't know whats 8 x 70 was then you use Nicholas trick. To use Nicholas trick you take away the 0 from the 70 and then you do 8 x 7 = 56 lastly you add the 0 to the end and make it 560.
8 x 6 = 48
560 + 48 = 608

So if you are stuck in a maths equation do the Nicholas trick!

Yay WINTER FIELD DAY....

... errrr I don't think so. More like WET FIELD DAY!

We had been waiting forever… the day we would step onto the fields and play hockey. But on August 30th … something shocking happened. We were all in our classes and the speaker went off saying “students doing the winter field day has been cancelled”

I was angry! It had been cancelled twice now. I had all my gear ready. I got my mouth guard, shin pads, long socks and hockey stick. I even got my sport shirt my from my hockey coach Miss Davies.

Miss Davies had said “Everyone the games are over, no more winter field day” Everyone was sad. Then she said “C'mon, I’m sad like you guys but I can’t do anything”


I WISH IT WASN’T CANCELLED!
